Most people pay very little attention when it comes to spark plugs.
Yet, this simple part is responsible for starting the whole combustion process that powers your engine. The spark plug ignites the air-fuel mixture, allowing us to produce 1,000 hp out of our ECOTEC 2.2L 4 cylinder engine. Just think, if one of the four cylinders did not ignite, we would lose 250 hp.
There is only one chance in drag racing. A misfire is a missed opportunity. Better hope all the cylinders are lit in your motor!
For the past decade in the Sport Compact Racing Series, we have relied on NGK Spark Plugs. NGK has been the only plug that has been consistently reliable to ensure us a successful pass down the drag strip.
NGK Spark Plugs powered the Saturn Motorsports Inc. Saturn Ion Quad Coupe Pro-FWD car driven by Lisa Kubo in the history-making, first-ever 7-second pass in a front-wheel drive car.
You choose for yourself. We choose NGK!
