Q: Do NGK Power Cables have larger diameter wire in comparison to the OE Ignition Cables?

A: NGK Power Cables are designed to fit exactly like the OE set for perfect fit, form and function.  NGK Power Cables are offered in 5 mm and 7 mm diameters.  The diameter of the wire is the insulating jacket around the internal windings and its purpose is to protect from heat, chemicals and voltage leakage.  Large diameter wires are designed for applications with large tube headers which produce high under hood temperatures and don’t offer any performance advantage over NGK Power Cables.
